The Schermerhorn Row Galleries

The Schermerhorn Row Galleries are housed in buildings dating to 1810 along Fulton and South Streets. The galleries provide a distinctive venue for receptions, meetings, dinners, and other special occasions. The galleries feature exposed brick walls and wood-beamed ceilings, lending character to any event.

The Waterline Atrium

The Waterline Atrium is a stunning gallery space within the Museum featuring an airy skylight, expansive windows with water views, and Waterline—a striking, site-specific installation of fishing weights designed by Cooper Joseph Studio.

Bowne & Co.

Bowne & Co., Stationers

Bowne & Co., Stationers will enable you to step back in time and enjoy the early iron handpresses in this re-creation of a 19th-century printing office. A one-of-a-kind venue, the shop is filled with collections of early wooden and metal type as well as paper products printed in the shop. The space is ideal for intimate occasions, book launches, readings and small celebrations that can include demonstrations of letterpress printing.

Guest Capacity 30 maximum | Rental Fee $1,000.

Peking

The Barque Peking

The German-built 1911 Peking carried cargo between Europe and the west coast of South America, and she is an ideal setting for larger groups. Her quarterdeck offers stunning views of the East River and the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.

Ambrose

The Lightship Ambrose

The lightship Ambrose, a National Historic Landmark that once served as a beacon at the entrance of New York Harbor, is an incomparable setting for events, offering both close-up views and vistas of the Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn skyline, and New York Harbor. Built in 1907, Ambrose has an historic interior below deck that can hold 150, and events can also take place on the deck.

Pier 16

Pier 16, the Museum's largest capacity event space, offers panoramic views of the Brooklyn Bridge, East River, and Brooklyn skyline. Against the backdrop of the Museum's historic vessels, Pier 16 makes a spectacular setting for a wide range of large outdoor and tented events.
