Britain's Royal National Lifeboat Institution is world renowned not only for its heroic deeds but also because of its reliance on voluntary contributions and voluntary crews. This exhibit of paintings by British artist Tim Thompson focuses on the most dramatic of the institution's activities, the so-called "Gold Medal Rescues" in which outstanding courage, skill and initiative has been shown.
