After training, curatorial volunteers and interns work with Museum artifacts and assist with Museum exhibitions. Duties include: inventorying and cataloging items in the Museum’s collection and library, researching for upcoming exhibitions, helping with exhibit installation, and general administrative duties.  Other short-term projects may arise depending on the needs of the department.

Qualifications:
College or graduate student preferred. Attention to detail required.  Experience handling historic objects and documents a plus. Interns from accredited art history, cultural history, anthropology, cultural economics, local history, social geography, maritime history, and other related university programs are encouraged to apply.

Hours: 2 or 3 days a week during office hours (9 AM-5 PM).
